The Great Alaskan....

I think that this is hands down the best name for a strip joint that I have ever seen. Check it out:

In case you are wondering, this place really does exist and no I did not go inside to check it out.

Ayyyy, Matey!

Happy "Talk Like A Pirate Day" everyone!

Random, I know, but I ran across it on the internet and thought I would spread the word!

In honor of Talk Like A Pirate Day, I found the top 10 pick up lines for the fellas to use on this special occasion (courtesy of TLAPD website):

10 . Avast, me proud beauty! Wanna know why my Roger is so Jolly?
9. Have ya ever met a man with a real yardarm?
8. Come on up and see me urchins.
7. Yes, that is a hornpipe in my pocket and I am happy to see you.
6. I'd love to drop anchor in your lagoon.
5. Pardon me, but would ya mind if fired me cannon through your porthole?
4. How'd you like to scrape the barnacles off of me rudder?
3. Ya know, darlinÂ’, IÂ’m 97 percent chum free.
2. Well blow me down?
And the number one pickup line for use on International Talk Like a Pirate Day is Â…
1. Prepare to be boarded.

Suck It Up! Boba Tea Co.

Quite the catch line, isn't it?

Last week I found myself in Albuquerque and as always, I had to find something that had a local feel to it. Enter Boba Tea Company. It came highly recommended by a guy that I knew so I figured it was safe. Apparently, Boba Tea Co. is local to the city and offers a unique drink of boba tea. What is boba tea, you ask? Here is the description he gave me: it is tea with balls of tapioca in the bottom of the cup that you suck up through a big straw. Pretty accurate, if you ask me.

Here is what a normal glass of Passion Black Tea w/Boba looks like:

The tea by itself was good. The balls on the other hand took a while to get used to. Check 'em out:

Not only did it feel like you were sucking up a gummy bear through a straw the size of your pinky; but they had kind of a gross aftertaste. I guess that I ordered the wrong drink beacuse it wasn't very good. Guess I'll have to try it again on the next trip...gulp!
